The Graph Integrates Chainlink’s CCIP for Seamless GRT Cross-Chain Transfers

The Graph, a leading indexing and query protocol for blockchain data, has officially integrated Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) to enable the cross-chain transfer of its native token, GRT.

According to a blog post by The Graph, this upgrade will allow users to move GRT across multiple networks, including Solana, Arbitrum, and Base. The integration is aimed at enhancing GRT’s utility, while making the token more accessible across leading blockchain ecosystems.

Major Expansion to Solana Ecosystem

One of the most significant outcomes of the integration is GRT’s extension to the Solana network. The Graph emphasized that this move could unlock deeper collaboration between Solana’s developer ecosystem and The Graph’s infrastructure.

“Extending GRT’s availability to Solana paves the way for deeper collaboration with Solana’s developer and user communities,” the announcement noted.

The expansion also aligns with Chainlink’s recent deployment of CCIP on the Solana mainnet, which opens up the network to over $18 billion in cross-chain value flow and greater access to decentralized data solutions.

Enabling Cross-Chain Functionality

By leveraging Chainlink’s CCIP, The Graph unlocks several key features for GRT holders, including:

  • Cross-chain staking and delegation
  • Query fee payments across L2s
  • Enhanced token utility across multiple chains

The team noted that these capabilities depend on the successful rollout of the Graph’s bridging infrastructure, which is currently under development.

Once fully deployed, developers will be able to use GRT for query fee payments on supported Layer 2 networks, further improving the scalability and cost-efficiency of decentralized applications using The Graph’s services.

Chainlink’s CCIP Gains Momentum

Chainlink’s CCIP continues to see growing adoption across the blockchain industry. In addition to The Graph, other notable integrations include Lombard, whose liquid Bitcoin staking token (LBTC) has gained traction through support from Aave.

With CCIP now live on Solana, developers can combine cross-chain messaging with Chainlink’s proven Data Feeds and Data Streams, unlocking new design possibilities for DeFi and cross-chain dApps.

The Graph’s Broader Vision

Launched in 2018, The Graph has become a foundational layer for decentralized applications by offering tools for querying blockchain data efficiently. The protocol supports data indexing across networks such as Ethereum, Arbitrum, and now, Solana.

This latest integration signals The Graph’s continued focus on interoperability, developer support, and cross-chain composability—essential pillars for scaling Web3.
