XOCIETY, a shooter-RPG hybrid built on the Sui blockchain, has announced a landmark partnership with Adidas, signaling a major crossover between Web3 gaming and global lifestyle brands.
Revealed on May 6, the collaboration will integrate ALTS by Adidas — a popular avatar-based NFT collection — into the XOCIETY game world. ALTS features 20,066 unique avatars launched in March 2023 and represents Adidas’ deeper push into the crypto and digital identity space following its past partnerships with STEPN and others.
While detailed mechanics remain undisclosed, XOCIETY hinted that its proprietary XCS (XOCIETY Character System) will be central to the integration. This system allows for dynamic identity and progression, aligning closely with Adidas’ vision of personalization and culture-driven engagement.
“XOCIETY and Adidas share a mission to fuse identity, creativity, and on-chain innovation into immersive game worlds,” the announcement stated.
Sui Labs also weighed in, calling the announcement not just a partnership but a “statement.” In a post on X, they wrote:
“Web3 gaming isn’t coming. It’s here — and it’s dripping in culture, identity, and onchain permanence.”
The game leverages Sui’s fast and scalable L1 network to power real-time NFT ownership and interactions. Every avatar, in-game item, and cosmetic skin exists on-chain, with transferability and verifiable ownership baked into the gameplay.
Sui itself is riding a wave of growth, with TVL surpassing $2 billion in early 2025. Integrations with Bitcoin-focused protocols like Babylon Labs and Lombard Protocol have helped broaden its reach beyond gaming into BTCFi and DeFi.
This Adidas collaboration adds further legitimacy to both XOCIETY’s metaverse ambitions and Sui’s positioning as a next-generation blockchain for interactive digital experiences.
